The Witching Hour

Forever a Gryffindor

Camryn and I went to see the midnight showing of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. We were really excited, probably me more so. We arrived at the theater at 9:00pm and were the 4th people there. At first we watched Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on my laptop but after a
while stopped because the crowd became too entertaining.

This outgoing girl was dressed as Harry Potter but she also brought the Sorting Hat. As the theater filled she would have people sit in the chosen chair. She would then recite line for line the Sorting Hat's dialogue in the book. It was so much fun and Camryn had a blast watching people get sorted. She would refuse to sort people that were Muggles--not dressed up. Some people left disappointed when she place them in Slytherin. Camryn and I were glad she was in our theater.

Oh my! What house will she be put in? Is she Courageous and Brave? If so Gryffindor is her house. Or is she witty and wise and quick to learn? Then let it be Ravenclaw she resides in. Maybe she is loyal and true to all her friends. If that be the case, a future Hufflepuff she shall be. Or maybe, just maybe, she is cunning and sneaky. If that is true, then a Slytherin is her rightful place. What shall it be? Ahhh.... "Gryffindor!" Whew. (I believe she is more Ravenclaw though--she is one smart cookie).

This is Ron. In this picture his hair looks more pink, but it is suppose to be red. Thirty minutes before the movie started Camryn and I went to get popcorn and drinks. While we were gone we missed the Famous Duel of Ron and the Sorting Hat Girl! We were very upset. But the feeling did not last long because the movie was about to start. We had a GREAT time and you can totally count on us going to the next two midnight showings. We definitely will be going full costume to those movies. We DO NOT want to be mistaken for muggles.

Monopoly with the Grandparents

Teammates Grandma Sue and Camryn. We ended up not finishing the game because it was getting too late. But we had a lot of fun playing. If I remember correctly, Camryn and Grandma got sent to jail like 5 times in a row.

Leo and Grandpa were on the same team also. Leo did a really good job rolling the dice and moving his game piece. Oh yeah, did I mention that this was Dogopoly? Leo looks a little worried that he has Grandpa as a partner...

Leo and Grandma. Notice Camryn's hands in the background giving bunny ears.

Camryn's Softball

Camryn is playing softball right now. It is her first year in the minors and she is having a hard time adjusting from machine pitch to a girl pitching. Since, this is the first year, there are a lot of balls. During the second game, Camryn got beamed with a softball in the face while she was up for bat. The next two games she was scared to bat again; however, she got up and faced her fear. Most of the time she is walked but at the last game she actually made contact with the ball and ended up scoring a run. I hope she stays with it but she also plays soccer. So, it does not matter which one she picks as long as she stays active!
